Rumor: Montreal Canadiens Snitch on Carolina Hurricanes Over Preseason Schedule
Rumors have surfaced that the Montreal Canadiens went to the NHL's office and informed them the Carolina Hurricanes broke the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) by only playing in four preseason games this season. The league mandate in the CBA is six games.
Word is the NHL didn't even notice the lack of games until the Canadiens brought attention to it. The two organizations have become one of the best rivalries in the league. It all started with an offer sheet to Hurricanes forward Sebastian Aho and continued this offseason with Carolina returning the offer sheet favor for Jesperi Kotkaniemi.
Here's DFO's Frank Seravalli opening up the can of worms:
The NHL CBA requires teams to play six preseason games.@Canes only played four.

According to @frank_seravalli, there's thought that the only reason the NHL noticed was because they were told by @CanadiensMTL.
Oh boy.
