Seattle Kraken: 2 Underrated Players To Watch

The NHL has so many underrated players who deserve far more recognition. In this segment, we will be discussing two from every team in the league. Their overall roles and abilities may differ, but they all share the common theme that they are not as respected as they ought to be.

In this piece, we will be looking at the Seattle Kraken. There are plenty of players who could fit this description, but let's look at these two specific forwards. They each should be very solid additions for them.

Calle Jarnkrok C/RW: Calle Jarnkrok could end up being a steal for the Kraken. Throughout his career with the Nashville Predators, he's been heavily underrated by hockey fans. Yet, he provides very solid depth scoring and has done so for multiple years now. In 49 games this past season, he scored 13 goals and recorded 28 points. On a team like the Kraken, he also could end up getting more chances and playing time. This could lead to even more contributions from the 30-year-old forward.

Mason Appleton C: Like Jarnkrok, Appleton stands a very good shot having a bigger role with the Kraken. Appleton showed significant improvements offensively this past season with the Winnipeg Jets. In 56 games, the 25-year-old forward scored 12 goals and had 25 points. This was while playing limited minutes due to the Winnipeg's strong forward depth. He could have himself a career year with the Kraken because he should have more opportunities.
