Seattle Kraken Waive Young Defenseman
The Seattle Kraken have placed defenseman Dennis Cholowski on waivers. Due to the team's strong depth on the backend, this is not too surprising to see.
Still, Cholowski could grab the attention of another NHL team. He is a former first-round pick who still could improve. Keep in mind, he's only 23 years old.Everyone else clears. Cholowski (SEA) on waivers.

The Kraken selected Cholowski in this summer's Expansion Draft. Last season with the Detroit Red Wings, he scored a goal and had two assists in 16 games. At the AHL level, he was quite productive, as he scored three goals and recorded 10 points in 13 games. If he can translate that a bit more to the NHL level, he should be able to cement himself a spot in the league.
In 104 career games with the Red Wings, he had 10 goals, 17 assists and 27 points. Who know? Maybe Detroit will claim their former first-round pick and bring him back.
