Seattle Kraken Waive Young Forward They Just Claimed
Earlier this month, the Seattle Kraken claimed Alex Barre-Boulet on waivers. Now, the 24-year-old center is right back on waivers.
With Calle Jarnkrok returning from COVID protocol, it did seem that Barre-Boulet was now the odd man out. Barre-Boulet has suited up in two games for the Kraken this season and recorded an assist.Barre-Boulet (SEA) on waivers

It seems rather likely that Barre-Boulet will be claimed yet again. He's a young forward who has been a dominant scorer at every he's played at previously. In 10 games last season with the Syracuse Crunch, he scored eight goals and recorded 12 points. During the two previous seasons, he was just under a point-per-game with Syracuse. He also had 116 points during his final year in the QMJHL in 65 games. It's now just a matter of seeing how much that kind of offense translates to the NHL.
Tampa Bay has first priority since the Kraken originally claimed him from them. If they shockingly decide not to take him back, expect a rebuilding club to scoop him immediately.
