Sharks' Kane Being Investigated Over Fake Vaccine Card
The Evander Kane situation in San Jose continues to throw curveballs as the latest and greatest out of California is how the NHL is investigating the Sharks forward for having a fake vaccine card.
Kane's recently been investigated for potentially gambling on his own games but there wasn't enough evidence to prove that's ever occurred. Kane's ex-wife brought that one up to the league in a series of wild social media posts and it resulted in the team investigating their relationship. Now it's the fact Kane's violated the COVID-19 protocol and could be handed down some severe punishment.
In the US and Canada fake vaccine cards are illegal so the NHL is going to handle this one with care. There's no specifics outlined when it comes to punishment for COVID-19 violations so who knows what's coming Kane's way, all we know it won't be good.
The saga continues for the Sharks after a number of Kane's teammates from 2020-21 went to management at the end of last season and requested he be traded from the team. Until these legal battles clear up, there's no market for acquiring Kane at this time.
