Sidney Crosby Back On The Ice For Pittsburgh Penguins
Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby officially returned to practice today. He's been out with a wrist injury, but this is certainly a step in the right direction. He hasn't been officially ruled in to play in Pittsburgh's season opener on October 12th against the Tampa Bay Lightning, though.
It's fantastic to see that Crosby is at least getting closer to be fully healed. The Penguins are going to be without Evgeni Malkin for the next few months, so Crosby returning soon is very important for the team.Coach Sullivan on Crosby's return to team practice today: "Everybody's excited that he's getting closer. We're obviously thrilled that he's back with our team."

Even at 34 years old, Crosby is still one of the top talents in the NHL. In 55 games this past season, he scored 24 goals and recorded 62 points. Thus, it was his 16th straight season of being above a point-per-game player.
Here's to hoping Sidney is ready to return to action shortly. The game is always a lot more fun when he's around.
