Team Denmark Has Chosen Its First Three Players
Team Denmark has selected Oliver Bjorkstrand, Nikolaj Ehlers and Alexander True as its first three players for the Winter Olympics in Beijing.
Bjorkstrand is an immensely underrated NHLer who has a marvelous shot. He's blossomed into one of the best players on the Columbus Blue Jackets over these last few years. In 56 games this past season, the 26-year-old winger scored 18 goals and recorded 44 points.Watch out for @DKIshockey this year in @Beijing2022 as @NHL players @OBjorkstrand, Nikolaj Ehlers and Alexander True officially join the #Olympics roster.

Ehlers is another fantastic winger for Denmark. In 47 games last season with the Winnipeg Jets, he scored 21 goals and had 46 points. He seems to get better with each season and should be able to provide a lot of offense during the Olympics.
True is a big center who is trying to cement himself as a legitimate NHLer at this juncture. He's played 19 total NHL games and has five assists. The 24-year-old was taken by the Seattle Kraken in the Expansion Draft and will be looking to become a mainstay in their lineup. In 27 games last season with the San Jose Barracuda, he scored nine goals and had 20 points as an alternate captain.
