Toronto Maple Leafs Place Forward On Waivers

The Toronto Maple Leafs have placed Michael Amadio on waivers.

The Leafs signed the 25-year-old forward to a one-year, two-way contract during the off-season. Amadio played in three games with the Maple Leafs this season, but failed to record a point. His last appearance was on October 16th against his former team, the Ottawa Senators.

Amadio suited up in 25 games last season between the Los Angeles Kings and Senators. In them, he had three assists. He was a mainstay in Los Angeles' lineup during the 2019-20 season, though. In 68 games, he scored six goals and had 16 points. If he can find a way to replicate those offensive totals, he does have the potential to be a bottom-six forward at the NHL level. It's just a matter of him finding the right fit.

It will be interesting to see if the Kings or Senators decide to claim him. Perhaps another team who is having injury trouble will also consider him, too. We will have to wait and see.
