Trade Rumor: 4 Teams Making Offers to Rangers for Kravtsov
The New York Rangers continue to work the phones as they try to convince forward Vitali Kravtsov to return from Russia and join the organization. While it doesn't appear likely at this point, a trade is expected and rumor has four teams being heavily involved.
The Seattle Kraken, Anaheim Ducks Detroit Red Wings, and Ottawa Senators have all reportedly been in contact with the Rangers. The Rangers continue to ask for some serious return in the deal as they are extremely high on Kravtsov and were quite shocked about the trade demands.
Last season in 20 games for the Rangers, the former top-10 pick had four points and while he didn't make the club out of training camp, he was supposed to play a role for the team this season.
Now that appears to not be the case at all and a trade should be completed in the next week or so. The offers are getting stronger as the market gets set and expect to see the Rangers find something that appeals to them soon. There's a good chance we could see a young defenseman heading back to the Big Apple in any deal.
