Trade Rumor: Blockbuster Deal Coming from Colorado Avalanche

The Colorado Avalanche are looking to get over the hump this season and they are willing to make a big trade to upgrade their roster. The team has already held discussions with the Buffalo Sabres about Jack Eichel, and while talks have stalled, the Avs are expected to be in on just about everyone.

General manager Joe Sakic has a cupboard full of prospects to deal, and a number of young talented players on his roster who could fetch a great return.

Other names to look out for on Colorado's radar include Calgary Flames forward Johnny Gaudreau, Detroit Red Wings forward Tyler Bertuzzi, and Columbus Blue Jackets forward Patrik Laine.

The Avalanche are believed to be willing to include Nazem Kadri in any deal to make the money work as the team is currently snug to the cap. Keep an eye on Sakic and the Avalanche this season, there's a big trade brewing in the Rockies.
