Trade Rumor: Dallas Stars Could Move Big Name

The Dallas Stars are off to an underwhelming start and their head coach is already calling out star players. If the Stars don't get off to a solid start and are within the playoff picture comfortably, expect some big trades coming from the team.

Ownership and management have made one thing clear in Dallas this season, enough with mediocrity. The team has placed a ton of pressure on the likes of Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin to perform and we could see a changing of the guard in Dallas. 

Seguin is working his way back from offseason surgery and Benn is trying to put together his own bounce-back season. The Stars captain is much more likely to be the one traded out of Texas.

Both players have no-movement clauses and are making more than $9.5 million per season, with lots of term left. While Benn brings a lot to the table, $9.5 million for a player who recorded 35 and 39 points his past two seasons is going to be extremely hard to trade. Expect salary to be retained or the Stars won't get fair value in any trade.

Keep an eye on the Stars. The coach is already heated and calling out players, management is expecting a big season from the club and if things don't start well in Big D, trades will commence.
