Trade Rumor: LA Kings Looking to Add a Forward
The Los Angeles Kings are done with their rebuild and looking to make some noise in 2021-22. They've been dealt some preseason problems with the ankle injury to Quinton Byfield. This injury is expediting their wants and needs, and look for the Kings to try and swing a deal for some forward help.
Jack Eichel on Kings Radar
Eichel has been linked to the Kings since day one, and now is apparently becoming option A. The team has enough prospects and draft picks to make a deal work, it's just going to be taking on the injury risk involved. Eichel isn't ready to step in the lineup, so this is certainly a curious situation to monitor.
🚨🚨🚨Rumors: @DarrenDreger on That’s Hockey! Talking #LetsGoBuffalo Jack Eichel mentioned that the few teams that he’s being told are in the mix are the #GoKingsGo perhaps the #FlyTogether his #NYR source says they are not in on Eichel. pic.twitter.com/iuUMPVuf1c

Phil Kessel an Option for the Kings
Kessel is done in Arizona and the team is working with the player to find him the best situation possible. Belief is Kessel would love to play for the Kings. Money is tight in LA, and with Kessel's $6.8 million coming back the other way, Kings general manager Rob Blake will certainly need to be creative to make this deal go down.
Keep an eye on the Kings. Their core including Drew Doughty went to management and let them know they want to win now and are sick of rebuilding. Management agreed it's time and now the season kicks off to see how they shape up in the Western Conference. Look for the Kings to make a trade early on this season, and there could potentially be some big names involved.
