Trade Rumor: New York Rangers Interested In Chicago Blackhawks' Young Forward

The New York Rangers are interested in acquiring Dylan Strome from the Chicago Blackhawks, according to Larry Brooks. The two teams have talked about the possibility of a Strome deal, but Brooks also noted that doesn't mean that Vitali Kravtsov would go the other way.

The Rangers are looking for more depth down the middle and Strome could be an interesting option for the third line. He also has the ability to play wing if they wanted to keep Filip Chytil as the team's 3C. The Rangers have had a few injuries to their forwards already, so adding another one would be a smart move, especially when looking at how competitive the Metropolitan Division is.

Dylan's brother, Ryan, of course is a key member of the Rangers as well. It would be pretty entertaining to see the two brothers on the same team.

Strome has been healthy scratched for four straight games by the Blackhawks and it's well-known that the team is shopping him. He also has an affordable contract, as he has a $3 million cap hit with one year remaining.

We will have to wait and see if the Rangers pull the trigger and strike a deal for the young forward.
