Trade Rumor: NHL Insider Says Jack Eichel Trade Talks Have "Reheated"

The Jack Eichel sweepstakes have been going on since the off-season, but a trade still hasn't come into fruition. Yet, according to Darren Dreger, trade talks have once again reheated. Does this mean an Eichel trade is finally going to happen?

We reported on Friday that the Buffalo Sabres and Vegas Golden Knights were making progress on a potential trade, so maybe this is another sign that he will be heading there. The Anaheim Ducks have also been heavily linked to Eichel over these last few months, so it certainly isn't the time to count them out, either.

At this point, it's pretty safe to say that hockey fans just want to see a trade of any kind go down. It feels as though that Eichel is just stuck in purgatory while remaining a member of the Sabres. Here's to hoping Dreger's words come true and Eichel will finally have the fresh start that he desperately needs.
