Trade Rumor: Pittsburgh Penguins and Anaheim Ducks Could Strike a Deal
The Pittsburgh Penguins and Anaheim Ducks have held trade discussions as recent as last trade deadline and they could be opening up talks once again this season. If the Ducks are moving on from Ryan Getzlaf later this season, look for the Penguins to be heavily involved.
The Penguins had a ton of interest in adding Getzlaf to his old buddy Jeff Carter in Pittsburgh last season but the deal fell through. Pittsburgh has started the season like a house on fire and are doing it without Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby, among others.
Head coach Mike Sullivan has the team working harder than ever and it's been an impressive start for the Penguins. There's no doubt the team will be going for it once again this trade deadline and Getzlaf is a name to watch out for.

As for the Ducks, they are certainly open for business and are looking towards the future. The team is transition in more and more younger players and Getzlaf is almost ready to pass the torch. The likes of Getzlaf, Josh Manson, Hampus Lindholm and goaltender John Gibson could all potentially be moved in the next two seasons.
Keep an eye out for the Penguins and Ducks. Huge ties there with Brian Burke being the President of Hockey Operations in Pittsburgh and these two teams are going to talk trade at some point this season.
