Trade Rumor: Vegas Golden Knights Reject Buffalo Sabres Offer
The Vegas Golden Knights and Buffalo Sabres have been in touch regarding a Jack Eichel trade, but to this point no deal has materialized.
Friedman on The Jeff Marek Show: "I don't think Buffalo and Vegas can make a deal because of Krebs...I've heard Buffalo wants Krebs in that deal and I don't think Vegas has any desire to do that".

As Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet mentions, the Sabres have serious interest in Golden Knights prospect Peyton Krebs, who was selected 17th overall at the 2019 draft. The 20-year-old prospect is projected to be a top-six forward and the Golden Knights have no interest in including him in the deal.
There would also need to be some money going out of Vegas to make the Eichel acquisition work financially. Eichel's $10 million isn't the easiest cap hit to add so if these two teams engage once again in trade talks, expect to see Alex Tuch and or Rielly Smith included in the deal. So many variables involved, it makes sense Eichel remains in a legal battle, while teams on the outside looking in gather up pieces for an offer.
