Update On Mitch Marner's Injury
Fans of the Toronto Maple Leafs can breathe a sigh of relief. Mitch Marner's injury is not too serious and he's a game-time decision for the Leafs' season opener against the Montreal Canadiens.

As we previously reported, Marner was injured at Tuesday's practice after Wayne Simmonds accidentally tripped him up, which led to him falling awkwardly. Thankfully, it seems as though it's nothing serious, as it's very possible that he ends up missing no time at all from it.
With Auston Matthews already out for the first few games of the regular season, it would have been very bad without Marner, too. However, even if the Leafs decide to sit out the 24-year-old winger for the team's first game, he should be back very shortly.
We will have to wait and see if he's ready to go for Wednesday night's tilt. It's always exciting when he's on the ice, so here's to hoping he's cleared to play.
