Vancouver Canucks Spell Alex Chiasson's Name Wrong, Veteran Still Scores

The Vancouver Canucks made an oopsie for last night's game against the Philadelphia Flyers. Recently signed forward Alex Chiasson's last name on his jersey was spelled incorrectly. Instead of Chiasson, it was spelled as "Chaisson." In Vancouver's defense, it isn't the easiest of last names to spell. Still, it was pretty hilarious to see.

However, it certainly did not seem to bother Chiasson, as he scored on the power play for the Canucks with it. He also added an assist in the game. Overall, it was a very strong showing for the 31-year-old winger. If he keeps having performances like this, his $750,000 contract could be a real steal.
Chiasson signed a PTO with Vancouver during the preseason and made the team right before the start of the regular season. He is expected to provide solid depth scoring in the team's bottom-six and be an effective net-front presence on their power play.

Nonetheless, this was a funny little mistake by Vancouver. They certainly will be fixing it for the team's next contest against the Detroit Red Wings on October 16th.
