Vancouver Canucks Veteran Forward Out For Start Of Season

It has been announced by Vancouver Canucks general manager Jim Benning that Brandon Sutter will not be able to play during the beginning of the regular season. The 32-year-old center is dealing with fatigue issues and will be having tests done to figure out why.
In 43 games last season with the team, he scored nine goals and recorded 12 points. With this, he was a mainstay on the penalty kill and was expected to be yet again for the start of the season. However, with this news, the Canucks will now have to adjust accordingly.

The Canucks signed Sutter to a one-year, $1.125 million contract this summer to continue his tenure with the team. In 275 games over six seasons in Vancouver, he has 54 goals, 50 assists and 104 points. The Canucks originally acquired him from the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 2015 off-season.

Here's to hoping Brandon feels better soon and can get back on the ice for the Canucks. Although he's not a star, he plays his role well and is a good leader, as evidenced by him being an alternate captain.
