Vegas Golden Knights Key Forward Out Long-Term, Another One Could Be As Well
The Vegas Golden Knights will be without on of their top forwards for a significant amount of time. The team announced that Max Pacioretty will be missing the next six weeks, according to Elliotte Friedman. He also noted that there's no update yet on captain Mark Stone.
This is very rough news for the Golden Knights. Pacioretty has officially been ruled out long-term, while Stone very well could have to miss time, too. He left Vegas' game against the Los Angeles Kings in clear pain.Vegas suffered some injuries during Thursday’s loss to LA. Hearing Max Pacioretty out approximately 6 weeks, while Golden Knights await further clarity on Mark Stone. Tough early-season blow.

In two games this season so far, Pacioretty has scored two goals and has an assist. He also had a fantastic year last season. In 48 games, he scored 24 goals and recorded 51 points. Stone, on the other hand, has three assists in two games this season. In 55 games last season, he had 21 goals and 61 points, while also being extremely efficient defensively.
Losing Pacioretty alone is a huge blow, but if Stone ends up having to miss a notable amount of time, Vegas will be without two very important parts of their top-six.
