Vegas Golden Knights Sign Veteran Defenseman
The Vegas Golden Knights have signed defenseman Ben Hutton to a one-year, $750,000 contract.
Hutton signed a professional tryout contract with the Anaheim Ducks earlier this month, but would be released from it before the start of the regular season. Now, he once again has a home in the NHL and with a very good team, too.✍️ The Golden Knights have signed defenseman Ben Hutton to a one-year contract!

Welcome to Vegas, Ben! #VegasBorn https://t.co/6sPQ5UGvD7
In 38 games last season between the Ducks and Toronto Maple Leafs, Hutton had a goal and five points. Yet, the season before with the Los Angeles Kings, he scored four goals and had 16 points. Therefore, he does have the potential to provide a bit of offense from the backend.
This is a good little depth move for the Golden Knights. They currently are off to a bit of a rough start this season, as they sport a 3-4-0 record. However, they certainly should be able to turn it around based on their dominance over the last few years. Hutton will do his best to help them do so.
