Video: Brayden Schenn and Nazem Kadri Drop The Mitts in Wild Fight
The St Louis Blues and Colorado Avalanche faced off on Saturday night and it was feisty from the opening puck drop. So much so, Brayden Schenn of the Blues and Nazem Kadri of the Avalanche decided to drop their mitts during the opening shift. Schenn must have remembered why Kadri was suspended from their series last postseason.
The game wasn't even one minute old and the two were throwing bombs as both players are big heart and soul types of players for their respected teams.
While there was a fight scheduled and a hockey game broke out, the Blues held on to a 5-3 victory as they start their season 1-0. Meanwhile the Avalanche are now 1-1 on the season after Blues forward David Perron scored twice and Jordan Binnington stopped 29 saves in the victory.
