Video: Linus Ullmark's Costly Mistake Leads To Bruins Loss

In overtime last night against the New York Rangers, Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark made a brutal turnover that led to Alexis Lafrenière to score a very easy goal. This would officially make the Rangers come back from their 3-1 deficit from earlier on in the game and secure them the win.
Although that was a very questionable decision by Ullmark last night, thankfully it was just a preseason game. Still, when the regular season comes around, Bruin fans are going to expect a lot more from him. Thankfully, it's fair to assume that mistakes like last night shouldn't happen too often from him. He's been a very good goaltender these last few seasons, hence why he was given his big payday by the team.

The Bruins signed Ullmark to a four-year, $20 million contract this off-season after his solid tenure with the Buffalo Sabres. In 20 games this past season, the 28-year-old had a 9-6-3 record and .917 SV%. Those are very good numbers, especially when remembering that the Sabres were the worst team in the league by far last season. Playing for a stronger team in Boston should allow him to have more success, but events like last night cannot become a common theme.
