Video: Loui Eriksson Keeps His Hot Streak Going
Loui Eriksson is continuing to make his case to be a part of the Arizona Coyotes' opening night roster this season. Tonight, the 36-year-old winger scored another goal and in a nice fashion, too. The video below shows that the veteran still has pretty nice hands.
The Coyotes of course acquired Eriksson from the Vancouver Canucks this off-season. There is no denying that he simply did not fit in Vancouver, which made his $6 million cap even worse. From the very beginning, he struggled significantly and never could find his old form. However, now the veteran has a fresh start in Arizona and is looking to prove that he can still be an NHLer.“Ask and you shall receive.”

In seven games this past season with the Canucks, Eriksson had just one assist. This came after a season where he scored six goals and recorded 13 points in 49 games. With a rebuilding team like Arizona, he does stand a good shot of having more chances to play, though. Perhaps this could help him get on the scoresheet a bit more this go-around.
Nonetheless, if Loui can translate this goal-scoring to the regular season, it would be nice to see.
