Video: The New Guy Scores A Beauty For The Rangers
Sammy Blais is continuing to make a very good first impression with the New York Rangers. The 25-year-old forward scored a spectacular goal against the New Jersey Devils. After intercepting a breakout pass, Blais stickhandled around multiple players before beating Jonathan Bernier.
The Rangers acquired Blais from the St. Louis Blues this summer in the Pavel Buchnevich trade. Although Blais is not expected to be a top-six forward like Buchnevich, he certainly should end up being a solid addition. He not only can provide solid scoring in the bottom-six, but also plays a very physical game, too.Sammy. Blais.

In 36 games this past season, he scored eight goals and had 15 points. Along with that, he had a notable 103 hits. With the Rangers looking to be a harder team to play against, he certainly should help with that.
Nonetheless, if Blais can scores like this during the the regular season, he could become a fan favorite for the Rangers.
