Video: Patrik Laine Scores Coast to Coast Beauty vs Red Wings

The Columbus Blue Jackets are hopeful forward Patrik Laine finds his game in 2021-22. And by the looks of the preseason, that appears to be the case. Laine went coast to coast against the Detroit Red Wings, finishing off one of the nicest goals you will see all year.

The Blue Jackets have made some big changes to their roster this season in hopes of turning things around for the franchise. Last season after the trade from Winnipeg, Laine was a disappointment, ending the year with only 10 goals in 45 games. The team and the player are expecting much more production in 2021-22, and expect to see Laine back up around the 35-40 goal mark.

Jakub Voracek could be the x-factor here. The Blue Jackets re-acquired the center for Cam Atkinson in the offseason and Laine and Voracek could be a dynamic duo this season. On this play though, the Finnish sniper showed he just needs to puck and look out.
