Video: Senators Tim Stutzle Hit With Wild Slash, Leaves Game Hurt
Ottawa Senators forward Tim Stutzle knows all about being slashed in the wrist and on Sunday it happened once again. The Sens forward had to leave the game after having his wrist chopped during a faceoff scrum.
The play happened during the late stages of the second period as the Senators hosted the Dallas Stars. Stutzle was seen hunched over headed for the dressing room, where he would stay the rest of the night.
According to Senators head coach DJ Smith, there was a ton of concern once the incident happened but the team did take some images and it sounds like he should be fine for their next game versus the San Jose Sharks on Thursday.
DJ Smith confirms Tim Stützle is fine - they did an X-ray within minutes. Said they were worried because he’s injured that same region of his left wrist before.

(Also I was today years old when I found out NHL teams had that type of medical imagery in-house 😱). #sens
