Video: Tony DeAngelo Punches Reese Johnson Below the Belt

The Carolina Hurricanes took care of the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night in a game that saw Hurricanes defenseman Tony DeAngelo and Blackhawks forward Reese Johnson drop the gloves. What came after was a bit surprising as DeAngelo threw a haymaker right to the groin of Johnson.

While lots can certainly happen during a hockey fight including the odd hair pull, or late punch, but socking a guy below the belt is totally uncalled for. DeAngelo and Johnson are both surprising fighters and the bad blood certainly spoiled over and combusted.

DeAngelo to the nuts, isn't this against the code?
