Video: Vancouver Canucks Rookie Scores First Career Goal
Vancouver Canucks forward Vasily Podkolzin scored his first career NHL goal against the Philadelphia Flyers, and it was a beauty. The 20-year-old took a shot from the faceoff dot and roofed it on Carter Hart.

This was Podkolzin's second career NHL game and he already is looking very confident. The Canucks have high expectations for the winger, as they selected him with the 10th overall pick of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. If he continues to score goals like this, he should become a fan favorite with the Canucks.
In 35 games last season with SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL, Podkolzin scored five goals and had 11 points.
Nonetheless, it was a very nice first NHL goal for Podkolzin. Do not be surprised to see many more of them from him this season.
