2 Columbus Blue Jackets Most Likely to Be Traded

The Columbus Blue Jackets are never shy to make bold moves and after a blazing 7-3-0 start to this season, look for the Blue Jackets to be active on the trade market this season.

The team showed the NHL with last season's blockbuster with the Winnipeg Jets, and this past offseason with the swap with the Philadelphia Flyers, management is willing to do whatever it takes to upgrade their roster. Even if it means trade away fan favorites like Cam Atkinson.

2 Blue Jackets Likely on the Move

Max Domi: Make no mistake about it, there's some regret here. Domi hasn't lived up to the expectations in Columbus and management showed by exposing him in the expansion draft, they aren't scared to move on. So far in four games, Domi has four points and is currently under COVID-19 protocol. He's battled some injuries but when healthy can be a productive player. As a pending free agent, look for the Blue Jackets to cash in on the rental market once again in 2021-22.

Joonas Korpisalo: Another pending free-agent the Blue Jackets signed Elvis Merzlikins first to a long term deal which is our tell tale sign Korpisalo is the odd man out. There's already been a hefty amount of interest in acquiring the 27-year-old netminder this season, including from the Edmonton Oilers. So far in 2021-22, the 6'3 Finnish netminder is off to a poor start in his four appearances, posting a 3.43 GAA and a .905 save %. Regardless, he's shown in the past he's capable of producing and there's going to be a tremendous amount of interest come closer to the trade deadline.
