2 Edmonton Oilers Most Likely to Be Traded

The Edmonton Oilers are off to a solid start this season after several additions were made over the summer. General manager Ken Holland continues to look for ways to upgrade his hockey club and there's going to be some talent shipped out to improve their roster in 2021-22.

2 Oilers Most Likely to be Traded

Kailer Yamamoto: With the likes of Zach Hyman and Jesse Puljujarvi producing big time this season expect to see the Oilers gauge the market for a Yamamoto deal. A one-time top prospect, he was supposed to be perfectly fit for the new age NHL, but unfortunately, that hasn't been the case at all. So far in 2021-22 Yamamoto has zero points in seven games. At 23 years old, there's still some upside to his game and expect the Oilers to see what kind of trade interest is out there.

Mikko Koskinen: The 33-year-old netminder is now the Oilers #1 goalie as Mike Smith is on the IR. While there's been a ton of bad we've seen in Koskinen's game over the years, this season he's been as solid as ever. Regardless, there's zero chance he gets re-signed in Edmonton and once Smith is back, look for the Oilers to try and capitalize on Koskinen's .934 save % and ship him out for a legitimate NHL proven goalie. The likes of Marc-Andre Fleury, Joonas Korpisalo and Matt Murray have all been linked to the team recently.
