2 Montreal Canadiens Most Likely to Be Traded
The Montreal Canadiens currently sit 2-8-0 on the season, however no major changes are expected before 2022. Once the calendar turns the Canadiens won't be shy to make some moves before the trade deadline and you can expect a couple of their forwards to be shipped off for assets.
2 Canadiens Most Likely to be Moved
Matthieu Perreault: The veteran forward is currently on the sidelines injured, however is expected back in a few weeks. So far this season, Perreault has looked pretty solid for the Habs, scoring a hat trick last week and has four points on the season. With 51 games of Stanley Cup playoff experience under his belt, look for a number of teams to come calling closer to the deadline. It helps when the 33-year-old is a pending free agent only making $950,000 on the cap.
Artturi Lehkonen: As per many of the Canadiens, Lehkonen is struggling bad so far this season. Currently the Finnish forward has one point in the first ten games and over his last 127 games, has only collected 41 points. For $2.3 million on the cap, that's not going to get it done. The Canadiens have a few young forwards who should be playing ahead of Lehkonen. The former second-round pick will be on the radar of playoff teams looking for a checking winger and Lehkonen will be a decent depth option for playoff teams.
