2 New York Rangers Most Likely to Be Traded
The New York Rangers continue to surprise this season as their new head coach Gerard Gallant has his team playing hard. Management has shown they aren't shy when it comes to making moves and look for the Rangers to upgrade their roster in-season.
2 Rangers Who Could Be Traded in 2021-22
Ryan Strome: Strome is an easy target because he's struggling so far this season and he's a pending free agent. Contract talks have gone nowhere and Strome's name has come up on the rumor mill more than once already this season. He's recorded three points in six games so far this season after putting up 49 points in 56 games in 2020-21. Teams who could come calling include the Ottawa Senators and Edmonton Oilers.
Alexandar Georgiev: The Russian backup is a pending restricted free agent and with Igor Shesterkin turning into a franchise goaltender, look for the Rangers to gauge the trade market on Georgiev. He's 25 and has a ton of potential. There's a number of teams looking for a starter of the future including the Oilers, Buffalo Sabres, and Arizona Coyotes. If the Rangers make a move or two, expect to see the netminder's name involved.
