2 Teams Who Should Trade For Marc-Andre Fleury

After a summer of spending, the Chicago Blackhawks were expected to take a big step forward this season. However, both on and off the ice, everything has been a complete and utter disaster for the franchise. They currently sport a 0-7-2 record and it appears that the playoffs aren't happening this year for the team. Thus, they will likely be sellers and one player they should consider moving is goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury. He has one year left on his contract and is struggling mightily with his new team. He currently has a 0-5-0 record, 4.63 GAA and .872 SV%. A change of scenery may already be what's best for the reigning Vezina Trophy winner.

Here are two teams who should consider trading for the veteran.

Edmonton Oilers: As we recently reported, the Edmonton Oilers are expected to pursue a big-name goaltender as we get closer to the deadline. Fleury is one player who likely will be considered, according to Jonathan Willis of The Athletic. The Oilers would benefit from adding more help in net, as a Mike Smith-Mikko Koskinen tandem is a bit risky for a team looking to win a Stanley Cup.

Pittsburgh Penguins: With this potentially being Fleury's last season in the NHL, wouldn't it feel right for him to end it with the franchise he started with? He was linked to head back there this summer, but that of course didn't occur. If the Blackhawks are willing to eat up half his salary for a better return, this could be an addition for the Penguins to consider. Even if they kept Tristan Jarry as well, it wouldn't hurt to have more insurance.
