2 Vancouver Canucks Most Likely to be Traded
The Vancouver Canucks can't keep the puck out of their own net as the team is reeling at the moment. Through 15 games the club sits 5-8-2 and are on pace to not make the playoffs. Some changes could be on the way in Vancouver, and soon as the Canucks don't want to get too far out of the playoff picture early on this season.
2 Canucks Most Likely Being Dealt
Alex Chiasson: While it certainly wouldn't be a blockbuster move, Chiasson is one of the only few Canucks who are not signed long term. The rugged forward is supposed to bring sandpaper and finish to the team but unfortunately in 2021-22, that hasn't been necessarily the case. The 31-year-old has only two goals, both on the man advantage and considering the team could use all the secondary scoring they could get at the moment, Chiasson may be moved along with a prospect for some help up front.
Tyler Myers: Myers has some decent value on the trade market due to the fact he's right-handed and signed for three more seasons. His no-trade protection only covers him from 10 teams and if the Canucks truly want a difference maker offensively, they may need to deal Myers to make it happen. So far in 15 games, Myers has yet to score and has recorded five assists. His plus +3 rating is third on the team and there aren't many defensemen bigger than the former first-round pick. Myers would certainly fetch a decent return in any trade.
The Canucks can't win the Stanley Cup in November but they can surely play themselves out of playoff contention. The team needs to turn it around and hopefully they can get back some healthy bodies to move things back on track. If not, expect a couple of moves out of western Canada.
