Aleksander Barkov Out For The Florida Panthers
Florida Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov has a lower-body injury and won't play in Saturday night's contest against the Carolina Hurricanes. His specific injury and expected recovery time have not been revealed just yet.

Being without Barkov against the undefeated Hurricanes definitely is not ideal, but the Panthers have a lot of depth and have the ability to make it a close game. The Hurricanes have a 9-0-0 record, but the Panthers themselves have a 9-0-1 record. Thus, these are two top-of-the-line franchises going at it.
The biggest concern, however, is the uncertainty of how long Barkov will be out of the lineup. For now, he is only out for this game, but who knows if it could be longer. Fans certainly are hoping it's just a day-to-day kind of situation at worst.
Barkov is having an excellent start this regular season. In 10 games, he has scored seven goals and has 12 points. He also already has a +10 rating and this comes after his Selke Trophy win last season.
Here's to hoping Barkov's injury is nothing too bad and he will be back very shortly.
