Anaheim Ducks Make Big Decision With Top Prospect
The Anaheim Ducks have sent forward Mason McTavish back to the Peterborough Petes of the OHL.
The timing of this move is not surprising at all, as McTavish skated in nine games with the NHL team. Due to the fact that he didn't play in a tenth contest, he isn't going to lose a year from his entry-level contract.News: We have assigned Mason McTavish to the Peterborough Petes of the OHL. https://t.co/39CcYrtCGV

For an 18-year-old getting his first taste of NHL hockey, McTavish honestly didn't look all that out of place. In his nine games, he scored two goals and added an assist. The 2021 3rd overall pick has a lot of potential to be special and hockey fans got a little glimpse of that already.
Now, McTavish will be heading back to juniors in a position where he can honestly dominate his competition. He not only played in the NHL, but also did very well in the Swiss League last season with Olten EHC. In 13 games overseas, he scored nine goals and had 11 points.
