Arizona Coyotes Claim Goaltender Off Waivers From New Jersey Devils
The Arizona Coyotes have claimed goaltender Scott Wedgewood off waivers from the New Jersey Devils.
Like we predicted yesterday, it seemed very possible that the Coyotes would be open to a reunion with Wedgewood. Carter Hutton is currently out for the next few weeks and although rookie Karel Vejmelka played very well, it wouldn't hurt to lower his workload just a bit. In eight games on the season, Vejmelka may be 0-6-1, but he also has a 2.54 GAA and .922 SV%. He's been the lone bright spot this season for the team.Arizona claims Scott Wedgewood off waivers from New Jersey.

Wedgewood played in the desert during the 2017-18 season. In 20 contests, he had a 5-9-4 record and .893 SV%. Once Hutton returns, there's a good chance that Wedgewood could be the out man out and end up reclaimed by the Devils on waivers, as they would have first priority. We will have to wait and see on that front.
In three games this season with the Devils, Wedgewood had a 0-2-1 record and .880 SV%.
Alas, welcome back to Arizona, Scott!
