Brad Marchand Reveals What He Said to Set Off Artemi Panarin
Brad Marchand is one of the best agitators in the NHL and over the weekend we saw it first hand as he chirped New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin so bad, Panarin threw his glove at him from the bench.
The incident went viral in a matter of minutes and Marchand has now met with the media to disclose exact what was said during their chirp fest:
Brad Marchand on the Artemi Panarin incident: “I said no one in Russia likes him.”

“If that’s what sets guys over the edge, then this is the softest league in the word.”
Talking to Artemi Panarin now, who confirmed that Marchand brought up the Russia stuff and crossed the line. He said trash talking is fine, but this was more of a personal attack.

"I don't like that guy," he added with a smile.#NYR

Sounds like The Bread is soft? Who knows the exact details, unless you were between the benches. The Rangers went on to win the game so the Bread Man can use that as his next chirp. Meanwhile Marchand was busy the next game slew-footing people so it seems like he's carrying on like any other day.
Having a human reaction to taunting behavior that makes light of a time when your family was in danger... makes you soft...?
