Bruins Brad Marchand Suspended 3 Games for Slew Foot

Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand has been suspended for three games for slew-footing Vancouver Canucks defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson.

The play occurred in the opening few minutes of Sunday's game as Marchand tripped up Ekman-Larsson with a very dirty slew foot. He somehow wasn't penalized on the play but as we all know now, couldn't get his ugly trip past the NHL's Department of Player Safety.

Marchand is off to a flying start this season as he's recorded 24 points in 18 games. Sitting for three leaves a big hole on the Bruins top-line and expect to see Taylor Hall jump up the lineup and get inserted onto the first line with Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak.
