Bruins' Brad Marchand to Have Hearing Over Ugly Slew Foot on Ekman-Larsson
Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand will have a hearing with the NHL's Department of Player Safety on Monday after he delivered a dirty slew-foot on Vancouver Canucks defensemen Oliver Ekman-Larsson.
The play happened in the opening two minutes of the first period in Sunday's contest. Marchand and Ekman-Larsson were battling it out in the neutral zone and ended up fighting for the puck as the Bruins were trying to head into the offensive zone. That's why Marchand took over and delivered a slew foot only P.K Subban would be proud of.

Craziness is the fact Marchand did not receive a penalty on the play. Ekman-Larsson was not hurt and stayed in the game, which ended up being a close tilt between two teams headed in opposite directions.
Marchand has a long history of being disciplined by the NHL so expect them to hit him with the maximum fine. The Bruins forward was fined $5000 for cross-checking in 2018, fined $10000 for slew-footing in 2017 and he's been suspended in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
