Canadiens Head Coach Provides Update on Carey Price
The anticipation is mounting as NHL fans around the world want to see Montreal Canadiens netminder Carey Price back in game action. Turns out it's unfortunately not as close as we think as Canadiens head coach Dominque Ducharme explained on Monday.
Ducharme met with the media and discussed a number of topics including a long list of injuries to his hockey club, and the one big topic was the health of Price. Ducharme had this to say:
#Habs Ducharme says Price hasn’t skated since last Monday. He’s continuing his off-ice conditioning work in the gym and receiving treatment.

It wasn't expected to take this long for Price to get back into game shape however it sounds like a knee tweak on the opening training session has derailed the comeback for potential the calendar. At this point don't expect to see Price in game action until 2022.
Price continues to get treatment for his knee and fellow Canadiens netminder Jake Allen appears the one of the two closer to returning. Allen has been sidelined with a concussion and he's expected to suit up in a game this week.
The Canadiens sit 5-13-2 on the season and it sounds like at this point, don't expect any changes until closer to the trade deadline.
