Canucks Brock Boeser Comments on Latest Trade Rumors
While the Vancouver Canucks are certainly struggling this season, forward Brock Boeser is becoming quite confused why his name appears to be popping up in trade rumors.
The Canucks forward is growing tired of the noise and is as frustrated as ever, not only in the rumors but also his game and his team's success so far this season. The Canucks have not played up to expectations so far and the chatter about a major move has picked up in these past couple of weeks.
Boeser recently spoke to the media regarding the buzz and had this to say:
Yeah, it does (get old). I had some people bring it to my attention yesterday a bit. I was confused. I think it's just people looking for an answer out in the social media world with the team struggling, especially now. That's part of it. At the end of the day, I can't worry about that stuff. I just have to go out and perform. It's been a tough stretch for me personally, and obviously for the team. And I set high expectations for myself to go out there and produce and help the team win. Lately, it's been tough
Boeser has eight points in 17 games this season, and is set to become a restricted free-agent next summer. The 24-year-old forward is a player the Canucks have received calls on, but to this point it seems like he's sticking around and Boeser wouldn't want it any other way.
