Carey Price Set to Rejoin the Montreal Canadiens

Some good news out of Montreal as Canadiens netminder Carey Price will be rejoining his teammates on Monday.

Price has spent the past month under the NHL's Player Assistance program and needed some time away from the ice. In his absence the team is off to a horrible start, and will look to Price to get them back into the win column on a nightly basis.

Canadiens head coach Dominque Ducharme confirmed the news on Friday, stating Price was all set up to meet with the team's athletic trainers on Monday to develop a plan about moving forward to get into game shape. It's likely Price will need at least 10 days to work himself back up into shape.

Price entered the program on Oct.7 and had to be in the program for a minimum of 30 days. The 34-year-old was on top of his game last postseason and looked like his old self. Price posted a .924 save percentage over 22 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Jake Allen has been carrying the load so far this season in Montreal and is currently 3-7-0 with a 2.92 GAA and a .904 save %. Let's see if Allen can hold the fort down for a couple more weeks as Price prepares himself for NHL action.
