Cedric Paquette Suspended For Boarding Trevor Zegras
NHL Player Safety has suspended Montreal Canadiens forward two games for boarding Trevor Zegras. The hit occurred on Sunday evening when the two teams faced off.
When looking at the hit, it's very easy to understand why a suspension was handed out. Zegras' back faced Paquette for the entire play, yet that didn't stop the latter from throwing. Zegras does turn slightly, but there's no denying that his numbers were always facing Paquette, so that ultimately doesn't matter.Montreal’s Cedric Paquette has been suspended for two games for Boarding Anaheim’s Trevor Zegras. https://t.co/tZ2Kjp0Shu

With this, Paquette will be out of the lineup for when the Canadiens face the Detroit Red Wings Tuesday night, as well as against the New York Islanders on Thursday night. With the way Montreal's season is going, it certainly is not good to lose another player from their lineup. At this time, they have a 2-8-0 record and are last in the Atlantic Division.
