Cedric Paquette To Have Hearing With NHL Player Safety For Boarding Trevor Zegras
Montreal Canadiens forward Cedric Paquette will have a hearing on Monday with NHL Player Safety for boarding Trevor Zegras.
It's easy to understand why Paquette has a hearing for the play. Even though Zegras does turn before the hit, his numbers faced Paquette the entire time he had control of the puck. Therefore, turn or not, Paquette had no business to throw a hit like that on a player in a vulnerable position. Thus, him receiving a five-minute boarding penalty and game misconduct were entirely justifiable.
On the play, Zegras was very slow to get up. Anaheim's trainer also put a towel on his head, as Zegras was very likely bleeding.
We will have to wait and see what ends up happening at Paquette's hearing.
