Colorado Avalanche Forward Out For A Month
The Colorado Avalanche have another player injured. According to head coach Jared Bednar, forward J.T. Compher will be out for a month with an upper-body injury.
At this current time, both Nathan MacKinnon and Bowen Byram are out due to injuries as well. Adding Compher to the list certainly is not good news at all.AvsNotes:

Compher has been off to an excellent start this season as well. In 12 games, he has scored five goals and recorded nine points. Keep in mind, this is a significant increase in production, as he had just 18 points in 48 games last season. Therefore, it's very rough that now this injury will keep him out while he's hot.
The Avalanche also haven't had the greatest of starts this regular season. Viewed as legitimate contenders, they have a 6-5-1 record and are currently fifth in the Central Division. Injuries of course have played a role in this. Therefore, being without Compher for that long feels like a significant blow. However, they did show signs of improvement these last two games, as they outscored their opponents 13-3.
Nonetheless, we'd like to wish J.T. a speedy recovery and are looking forward to him being ready to get back on the ice.
