Dylan Larkin Currently Away From The Detroit Red Wings

According to Detroit Red Wings head coach Jeff Blashill, captain Dylan Larkin is currently away from the team due to personal reasons.

Larkin missed Tuesday night's contest against the Montreal Canadiens as well. As he takes time to focus on his current situation, we certainly would like to send our best wishes.

Larkin has been off to a fantastic start with the Red Wings this season, though. In eight games, he has three goals and eight total points. This is after a rough season that ended early for him due to a neck injury. In 44 games during the 2020-21 campaign, he scored nine goals and had 23 points.

The Red Wings will miss Larkin when they take on the Boston Bruins Thursday night, but it's entirely understandable that he's dealing with a personal matter away from the team.
