According to John Buccigross, Dr. Prusmack noted that the disc he removed from Eichel was a "mess." With that, he stated that Eichel told him that he feels good and even went for a walk after its completion.
Now, Eichel has finally received the surgery that the Buffalo Sabres wouldn't allow him to get. This is significant, as their refusal was ultimately was the final straw for the star center with the franchise. However, it also is important to remember that it's never been done on an NHL player before, so it's hard to determine how things will go from here.Jack Eichel tells me surgery went well..is leaving the hospital in 15 minutes..Dr. Chad Prusmack told Eichel the disc he took out was a mess..he took some extra time & couldn’t have been more Precise and happy. Eichel: “I honestly feel really good. I just went for a walk.”

Alas, Eichel is expected to be out for a minimum of three more months, but also could be for as long as five. Once he is ready to go, Vegas will finally have that first line center that they desperately need. That'll be very fun to see!
