Kings' Brendan Lemieux To Have In-Person Hearing

Los Angeles Kings' Brendan Lemieux has been offered an in-person hearing through zoom for biting Ottawa Senators' captain Brady Tkachuk. Due to this, Lemieux can now be suspended for over five games.

For those of you who missed the incident, Lemieux bit Tkachuk while the two were in a heated scrum. This is the kind of action that absolutely warrants a suspension and one that has no business being in the sport. Lemieux deserves a lengthy one.

Following the game, Tkachuk completely ripped Lemieux to the media and it's easy to understand why. Whether you love or hate Brady, he had every right to be livid. Any other player would be, too.

The Kings and Senators do not play each other again this season, so we will have to wait until next season for the inevitable Tkachuk-Lemieux fight. However, there's always the chance that Lemieux gets dealt before season's end, so that could open the door to another matchup this season.

Alas, good call on NHL Player Safety for opting to go with the in-person hearing.
